Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11i start receiving Android 12 Stable update
Xiaomi has announced Stable MIUI builds based on Android 12, less than a day after Google released its new OS to AOSP. In a blog post, Xiaomi explains that Android 12 is now available for the Mi 11, Mi 11i and Mi 11 Ultra, albeit only on MIUI's global branch.
Additionally, V12.5.1.0.SKBMIXM, V12.5.1.0.SKKMIXM and V12.5.1.0.SKAMIXM are only intended for Mi Pilot testers, the recruitment for which Xiaomi started last week. The company also stresses the following:
The update process might take longer than usual.
Expect overheating and other performance issues after you update - it might take some time for your device to adapt to the new version.
Remember that some third-party apps aren't yet compatible with Android 12 and you might not be able to use them normally.
Xiaomi has not published any recovery or OTA files for its first Android 12 updates. However, @xiaomiui has already discovered recovery files for all devices the Mi 11 and Mi 11i, which we have linked below. We should stress that these updates are Beta Stable, so you may need to flash them via TWRP or another third-party recovery. The build numbers for the three Android 12 updates are as follows:
- Mi 11 - V12.5.1.0.SKBMIXM
- Mi 11i - V12.5.1.0.SKKMIXM
- Mi 11 Ultra - V12.5.1.0.SKAMIXM
