OnePlus Buds Z2: New ANC earbuds leak again as company sets twin launch date
OnePlus has begun teasing its next devices, the Buds Z2 and the OnePlus 9RT. Unsurprisingly, the Buds Z2 will succeed the Buds Z that OnePlus launched last year. Incidentally, OnePlus released these earbuds on October 14, so it will be almost a year to the day between the Buds Z and the Buds Z2 arriving.
So far, OnePlus has confirmed that it will sell the Buds Z2 in two colours, shown above and below. Both colours are expected to support Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), an improvement on the Buds Z. Additionally, the Buds Z2 are thought to feature 11 mm drivers, IP55 certification and 40 mAh batteries per earbud. The latter will be supported by the charging case's 520 mAh battery, which may yield up to 27 hours of battery life between charges.
While OnePlus is holding some details about the Buds Z2 back, Evan Blass is not. Tweeting a hands-on photo of the earbuds, Blass has confirmed that the Buds Z2 will only come with a charging cable and replacement ear tips. The black model will be called Obsidian Black, too.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 will launch on October 13 in a twin release with the OnePlus 9RT. Unfortunately, it remains unknown if the company plans to release either globally.
