Garmin has finally revealed a second-generation Epix smartwatch, six years after the inaugural model arrived. The Epix 2, or epix (Gen 2) as Garmin calls it, has a large AMOLED display, up to 32 GB of storage and is available in steel or titanium finishes.

Garmin has revealed the fēnix 7 series, consisting of the fēnix 7, fēnix 7s and the fēnix 7x. The series starts at US$699.99 and is available in Standard, Solar and Sapphire Solar versions. All models have touchscreen displays, among various changes.

Garmin has released a new update to numerous smartwatches in its fēnix series, including the fēnix 6. The update brings some major changes and improvements to the smartwatches, including adding support for HIIT workouts. Some Marq models also benefit from Garmin's extensive update.

Huawei is currently updating the Watch GT 2 in China, a smartwatch that it launched over two years ago. While the new software is unavailable outside Huawei's home market, the features it contains should make their way to other markets soon.

Razer has showcased a new version of the Zephyr mask called the Zephyr Pro. The Pro will cost US$50 more than the Zephyr, which cost US$99. The Honor Watch GS 3 was originally pitched as a companion for the OEM's mid-2021 flagship smartphones with advanced heart-rate sensing tech. Razer has unveiled a limited edition version of the Fossil Gen 6. The Razer X Fossil Gen 6 contains three watch dials and two Razer-branded watch straps, but no hardware changes from the Fossil Gen 6. Fossil and Razer will only sell 1,337 Razer X Fossil Gen 6 units, starting later this month.

Garmin has launched the Venu 2 Plus, a 43 mm smartwatch available in three colours. The Venu 2 Plus has an AMOLED display, stainless steel hardware, countless health and fitness features, plus voice assistant functionality. The Venu 2 Plus will be orderable in multiple markets, starting with the US.

The OnePlus 10 Pro flagship may be hotly awaited in India, as in many other markets; now, however, it seems the 9RT will make it there first. According to the latest teasers posted by the OEM's Indian division, the 2021 flagship-alternative is destined to launch in this new market soon, alongside the OEM's latest Buds Z2 TWS earbuds.

META has been working on its glucoWISE Home Hub system, which comprises of two parts: the Diabet non-invasive glucose sensor and its accompanying wearable sensor. Xiaomi has released another smartwatch, the Watch S1. The company's latest smartwatch has a large and high-resolution display, plenty of exercise modes and a built-in GPS module, among other features. The Xiaomi Watch S1 starts at CNY 1,049 (~US$165) in China.

Vivo has now made its Watch 2 official in China. This new smartwatch has a round AMOLED display and a simplified design compared to its predecessor. It is also 4G/LTE-capable by default, which raises its price to some degree. On the other hand, the OEM claims that the user can get up to 7 days' worth of battery life and lots of smart life-admin features for that price.

Huawei has rounded its bumper product event of today (December 23, 2021) out with the introduction of new smart glasses. These accessories are, like their predecessors, equipped with speakers and mics for hands-free use and entertainment. Then again, this new generation also has something of a health-tracking component.

The Pixel Watch may still be a few months away from launching, but 9to5Google has found more details about it within Google apps. Google's first smartwatch will showcase Wear OS 3, with support for a next-generation Google Assistant. The Pixel Watch could be powered by an Exynos-manufactured SoC, too.

A patent filed by Fitbit has led to the suggestion that the company could be working on a smartwatch device or similar wearable that is capable of tracking the user’s mental health or mood. Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology have developed the world's first color OLED microdisplay with ultra low power consumption. Those can be used for information we need right in front of our eyes at all times, like with smart glasses and other wearables, but have so far all been monochrome. By cutting the pixel size in half and utilizing CMOS technology, the Fraunhofer scientists have managed to deliver an OLED microdisplay that can show a mixture of green and red colors for the first time.

The Buds Z2 are OnePlus' latest TWS earbuds, although they have not been available outside China to date. The OEM has revealed that this will change in mid-December 2021 with their debut in Europe. This launch is to be a social media-centric event, although the product is also intended to boost the company's Red Cable Club expansion into a new region.

Xiaomi has started selling the Redmi Watch 2 Lite in Europe. The smartwatch retails for €69.99 and comes with a free gift. So far, Xiaomi has listed the budget smartwatch in Germany, Italy and Spain.

Reportedly, Xiaomi has settled on releasing the Watch S1 before April 2022. The smartwatch does away with Xiaomi's 'Mi' branding and will be available across Europe and Asia Pacific countries.

The Kokoon Nightbuds are a pair of (technically) wireless earbuds specifically designed to wear in bed. They are rated by their OEM to track and enhance sleep through a combination of hardware such as an in-built heart-rate sensor and an app that delivers "personalized sleep coaching". They are now available as a mainstream product rather than on crowdfunding as before.

INTELLI is a brand with a new product called the StepUp Magnetic Wireless Charging Station. It looks like a vaguely wedge-shaped MagSafe-compatible charger for iPhone 12- or 13-series devices on first glance; however, it also contains novel pop-out charging decks, one for an Apple Watch and one for an AirPods case. The OEM asserts that the station can power all 3 at once.
