The FCC has published a new listing for an unreleased Amazfit smartwatch. Referred to as model A2170, the smartwatch appears to be the rumoured next-generation T-Rex Pro, thought to be called the T-Rex Pro 2 or the T-Rex 2 Pro.

It seems that Amazfit is getting closer to launching a new smartwatch, likely a successor to the T-Rex Pro. Seen last week by Xiaomi Today, the unreleased smartwatch has now been discovered on the FCC database by Gadgets & Wearables. Seemingly, Xiaomi Today's leaked image came from the FCC, which we have embedded below.

While the FCC has not referred to the smartwatch's name, it has listed its model number as A2170. Additionally, the FCC has confirmed the A2170's battery capacity, shown as a 450 mAh typical capacity and a 500 mAh rated capacity. Similarly, the T-Rex Pro 2 will support Bluetooth 5.0 LE, which Xiaomi Today previously suggested.

Moreover, the FCC lists the A2170 as only having Bluetooth connectivity. However, one document distinctly shows a Wi-Fi icon next to the 'Network & Connection' sub-menu within the Settings app. Also, the same image contains an image with a few built-in applications, including Calendar, To Do and Cards.

Incidentally, the image confirms that the A2170 has a circular display, mirroring other Amazfit smartwatches. Unfortunately, it remains unknown when Amazfit will reveal the T-Rex Pro 2 or the T-Rex 2 Pro, but an FCC certification implies that the company is close to announcing the A2170.
