Amazfit's latest GTS 3, GTR 3 and GTR 3 Pro smartwatches get a new software update
Zepp Health's increasingly well-known and popular Amazfit brand has released a new software update for its latest GTR 3, GTR 3 Pro and GTS 3 smartwatches. This is the 2nd such upgrade pushed to the wearables since their October 2021 launch.
The update is slated to show up as the 7.30.3.1 firmware for the square-faced GTS 3, or the 8.26.3.1 software for its round GTR 3-series counterparts. However, they both appear to have the same changelog, which, for example, introduces an option to add a background app indicator to a given device's watchface.
GTS 3, GTR 3 and GTR 3 Pro owners can now also lock their screens following installation of the new update, as well as calibrate the watches' altimeters by themselves.
There is also a new GoPro app for the expanding Zepp OS mini-app store - however, it is exclusive to the GTR 3 Pro at the moment, as it is the only new Amazfit watch to have access to this store at the time of writing.
