The ElegaBand will allow you to wear your Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch or Garmin smartwatch in new ways
Ergon has unveiled the ElegaBand, a successor of sorts to the ErgonBand. Like the ErgonBand, the ElegaBand is an unusual smartwatch that Ergon will fund via Kickstarter. Currently, Ergon has marked its Kickstarter campaign as launching 'soon', albeit without providing a set date. According to the campaign's preview page, a single watch band will cost US$99; there are discounts if you buy two, three or four bands simultaneously, though.
Purportedly, the ElegaBand will begin shipping in August 2022, but only if it reaches its modest US$3,122 campaign goal. Ergon claims that the ElegaBand will be compatible with most modern smartwatches, including the Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch4 and those released by Garmin. As Ergon's marketing images show, the ElegaBand has a two-part structure that allows you to stretch it over your thumb or over a bicep. Additionally, you can angle the smartwatch to make it readable in your natural line of sight.
Moreover, Ergon claims that the ElegaBand is stretchy, hopefully making it comfortable to wear over extended periods when exercising or playing sports. Ergon has outlined how you can wear the ElegaBand too, which you can view in the video below. The company notes that the ElegaBand would allow you to wear your smartwatch without it hitting gym equipment as well, among other uses. You can read more about the ElegaBand on Ergon's Kickstarter page.
