Huawei GT 2 and GT 2e get a software update including new health features
Huawei has launched software updates for its GT 2 and GT 2e smartwatches. Version 11.2.15.10 brings various features to the devices, including sports and health monitoring tools.
Several sports features have been added to the devices, such as sunrise and sunset display settings. Also included is an 'always on' display setting so you can view real-time data on your workout. You can now link either device to your smartphone and smart sports equipment. Plus, the GT 2 can track your pace interval when running.
Users can now install a wide range of third-party apps on both devices via the App Market. On the GT 2e, you can also install apps related to monitoring your wellbeing; for example, you can measure heart health statistics directly on the device. The GT 2 appears to have a new menstrual cycle tracking feature, allowing you to record your period manually through the watch.
What is more, the GT 2 has received a new screen lock function so that you can set a password on the device for additional security. The general performance and stability of the watches' systems have also been improved.
So far, the update has been rolled out to users in China. It is unclear when the update will be available for customers in the rest of the world.
