Garmin has updated the tactix series, which the company now markets as being seventh-generation models. Like previous models, the tactix 7 series is intended for people who need a smartwatch that can withstand the rigours of prolonged use in the field. At launch, Garmin offers the tactix 7 in Standard, Pro and Pro Balisitics Editions, which range from US$1,099.99 to US$1,599.99.
According to Garmin, the tactix 7 series launches with a black titanium bezel coated in DLC, superior health monitoring, improved solar charging and a fibre-reinforced polymer case with a titanium rear cover. Additionally, all models have a sunlight-visible, transflective memory-in-pixel (MIP) display that measures 1.4-inches across and offers a 280 x 280-pixel resolution.
Moreover, the tactix 7 series comes with a built-in flashlight, multi-band GNSS support and Garmin's suite of health, safety, tactical, tracking and smart features, among others. For reference, Garmin provides a full feature set on its website.
Currently, Garmin only sells the tactix 7 in one colour and with a 51 mm case size. All editions are orderable now from Garmin and should ship within 1-3 business days.
