The Amazfit GTR and GTS 3 smartwatches are set for launch later in 2021
Amazfit has issued a new official Weibo post inviting fans located in China or otherwise to "Up their Game". This is because the successors for the GTR 2 and GTS 2 smartwatches are now ready to be unleashed on the fitness wearable world.
According to the latest word on these devices, the GTR and GTS 3 are expected to mimic their predecessors in that they will yet again be of the round- and square-faced variety respectively. However, this generation may be poised to lead their series into new territory in other ways.
They may, for example, be the one to debut the new blood-pressure monitoring feature teased by Amazfit previously. Furthermore, the GTR 3, GTS 3 or both may be first to switch from RTOS as usual to this brand's inaugural in-house software, slated to run on a proprietary chipset.
This combination is touted to refine battery life as well as performance on the Amazfit devices of the immediate future. Finally, the third-gen GT-line smartwatches will be the first of their flagship line to launch under the new name for its brand's owner. The company may confirm all these possibilities during its October 12, 2021 global product event.
