Amazfit GTR 3 and GTS 3 smartwatches leak in hands-on photos
Last year, Amazfit launched the GTR 2 and GTS 2, two smartwatches with AMOLED displays and Amazon Alexa support. About three months later, the company revealed the GTR 2e and GTS 2e, both budget alternatives to the GTR 2 and GTS 2.
Now, Canaltech and Gadgets & Wearables have spotted certification filings for two unreleased Amazfit smartwatches. So far, listings have been posted by Anatel and the FCC in Brazil and the US, respectively. According to Canaltech, the GTR 3 has a 440 mAh battery, 31 mAh shy of the capacity that the GTR 2 has. Canaltech mentions that Anatel has also published manuals for both devices, but it has published any screenshots or links to them.
The website has published hands-on pictures of the GTR 3 and GTS 3 though, which also contain the model numbers A2040 and A2035. Incidentally, the sole FCC listing corroborates that the A2035 is a new GTS, not the GTR 3e as Canaltech asserts. While the FCC has not published any external pictures or manuals, a document shows that the A2035 has a squircle display, matching previous Amazfit GTS designs.
Unfortunately, it is unclear when Amazfit plans to announce new smartwatches. The pair's appearance at certification agencies implies that Amazfit is readying them for release soon, though.
