Amazfit T-Rex Pro 2: Details and design of upcoming smartwatch emerge
Xiaomi Today has shared details about an unreleased Amazfit smartwatch, billed as the T-Rex Pro 2 or the T-Rex 2 Pro. While the website has not provided a source for the leak, the image below appears to be a screenshot from a certification body filing. Unquestionably, the device shown is produced by Amazfit, with a rugged design reminiscent of the T-Rex and T-Rex Pro.
Hence, Xiaomi Today reasons that the image is of a successor to last year's T-Rex Pro. For reference, the T-Rex Pro has a 1.3-inch AMOLED display that operates at 360 x 360 pixels. Also, the US$179.99 smartwatch is water-resistant up to 10 ATM and has a 390 mAh battery that Amazfit claims can provide up to 18 days of battery life.
In comparison, Xiaomi Today has discovered that the T-Rex Pro 2 will launch with a 450 mAh battery. In other words, the T-Rex Pro 2 should have approximately a 15% larger battery than its predecessor, which may tip Amazfit's battery estimate beyond the 20-day mark. Currently, it is unclear how large the T-Rex Pro 2 will be, nor many of the features that it will offer. However, the smartwatch will retain its predecessor's Bluetooth 5.0 BLE connectivity, for some reason.
