9to5Google has discovered another reference to the Pixel Watch in several Google apps. Previously, the website published several watch faces from an early Wear OS 3 build that have also appeared in leaked Pixel Watch marketing assets. Google is not expected to reveal the Pixel Watch until next year.
Supposedly, several Google apps contain references to 'PIXEL_EXPERIENCE_WATCH', mirroring 'PIXEL_EXPERIENCE_2021' for the Pixel 6 series and 'PIXEL_EXPERIENCE_2020_MIDYEAR' in the case of the Pixel 5a. 9to5Google adds that the Pixel Watch, codenamed 'Rohan', will support a next-generation Google Assistant, unlike the Galaxy Watch4 series.
Samsung has promised to bring Google Assistant to its latest smartwatches, but it has provided no update on when this feature will arrive. According to 9to5Google, the next version of Google Assistant will process your speech directly, rather than in the cloud. Presumably, this will bring offline Google Assistant support to Wear OS 3, too.
Additionally, 9to5Google has seen other evidence that the Pixel Watch relies on an Exynos SoC. It is unclear if this will be the Exynos W920 found in the Galaxy Watch4 series or another chip entirely. Potentially, the SoC powering the Pixel Watch could be a custom-Exynos SoC like the Google Tensor.
