Xiaomi reveals details of the Xiaomi 12 Pro's premium display ahead of launch
Over the past few days, Xiaomi has begun the marketing campaign for its imminent Xiaomi 12 flagship series. While the cheaper 6.28-inch Xiaomi 12 has had most of the attention, Xiaomi will also launch the Xiaomi 12 Pro alongside it and is now teasing the bigger phone.
Xiaomi has now confirmed that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will feature an AMOLED display made by Samsung. In contrast, the regular Xiaomi 12 will utilize hardware from Chinese supplier Huaxing. The screen on the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be Samsung's E5 display and will offer LTPO support, being able to shift across refresh rates of 10 Hz, 30 Hz, 60 Hz, 90 Hz, and 120 Hz.
While the regular Xiaomi 12 will use a FHD+ display, the Xiaomi 12 Pro will keep the QHD+ display from its predecessor. The Xiaomi 12 drops down to a FHD+ screen because it'll be considerably smaller than the Mi 11 but the Xiaomi 12 Pro has no such nuances to consider.
This is the case with the Mi 12 frame control, a customized 6.28-inch 1080p 10bit Huaxing flexible screen, so far I haven't seen any mixed Tianma screen. The 12 Pro is a relatively larger 2K Samsung flexible screen. pic.twitter.com/MXq80xrTft
