Xiaomi will debut the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro on December 28. While the company has mostly kept details of the devices confidential, it has now begun to release tidbits about the vanilla Xiaomi 12, starting with the phone's display.
Confirming earlier rumors, the Xiaomi 12 will feature a 6.28-inch display, making for a significant downsize from the 6.81-inch Mi 11. Xiaomi is heavily marketing the small size of the Xiaomi 12, as well, by comparing it to the iPhone 13. In addition, Xiaomi is also teasing a few other qualities of the Xiaomi 12's display.
For one, the Xiaomi 12 will feature an AMOLED panel. That's no surprise, of course, but Xiaomi also claims that the panel on the Xiaomi 12 has earned an A+ rating on DisplayMate, signifying that it's a display of the highest quality. In addition, the Xiaomi 12 gets rather bright, topping out at 1600 nits. The display itself is said to be made by Huaxing, and is a FHD+ panel.
