The latest Xiaomi 12 leak allegedly reveals battery and charging specs for the upcoming flagship smartphone
Xiaomi has now openly acknowledged the long-rumored existence of the "12 series" that will be based on Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship mobile SoC. However, the OEM has yet to confirm that the line will consist of the 12, 12 Pro and 12 Ultra (at least), as so many leaks have suggested. Nevertheless, the former is now believed to have joined the second in approval for sale by the Chinese authority 3C.
This new rumor is based on the appearance of the Xiaomi 2201123C on the regulatory database. It is said to be the base-model 12, whereas the pre-existing 2202211C might be the Pro. This latest official addition has been certified to use the same 67W charging tech as the 11T, whereas the "12 Pro" has the OEM's current top-end 120W charging.
3C does not disclose specs on the batteries to go with these alleged 12-series charging speeds; however, Digital Chat Station has reportedly asserted that the 12 will have a 4,500mAh battery. Accordingly, it might well charge faster than its supposed predecessor the Mi 11; however, it may be outstripped by its own Pro counterpart in turn.
