Xiaomi is building momentum for the release of the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X, both expected to arrive this month. As executives continue to tease its upcoming flagships, it is also preparing behind closed doors to bring Android 12 and MIUI 13-based builds to MIUI's Stable channel.

Earlier this week, Lei Jun announced that the Xiaomi 12 series would rely on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Qualcomm's latest flagship SoC. Now, another Xiaomi executive has stepped up Xiaomi 12-related teasers ahead of its anticipated release later this month.

Supposedly, Xiaomi's next flagship smartphone will offer a series of marketing leading features, including the most stable autofocus performance. Additionally, Xiaomi asserts that the Xiaomi 12 will have the fastest camera speeds of any device at launch, along with the best night mode of any smartphone. Unsurprisingly, Xiaomi teases that the Xiaomi 12 will deliver excellent performance, too.

Incidentally, @kacskrz has found references to stable MIUI 13 builds for two Xiaomi 12 series devices. As the screenshot below shows, Xiaomi is readying MIUI 13 for 'zeus' and 'cupid'. According to previous leaks, Xiaomi will reveal the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X first, before moving onto new MIX smartphones in early 2022.

Xiaomi has based these MIUI 13 builds, V13.0.1.0.SLBCNXM and V13.0.1.0.SLCCNXM, on the Android 12 codebase as well. By contrast, cheaper Xiaomi 12 and Redmi K50 series devices could launch with Android 11, for some reason.
