Rumor | Xiaomi 12: Leak purports to reveal major specs and pricing details of the upcoming Xiaomi flagship

The Xiaomi 12 series has been mostly shrouded in secrecy. Xiaomi has played information on the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro close to chest but a new leak now appears to reveal most details of the vanilla Xiaomi 12 ahead of launch. When it rains, it pours—or so they say.

It's important to note that the veracity of the source graphic is unknown, but it manages to corroborate most known details. In addition to officially confirmed specs like the Xiaomi 12's display specifications, the graphic claims that the phone will sport a 4500 mAh battery. At the very least, considering the phone's small footprint, that sounds more plausible than earlier rumors tipping a 5000 mAh battery.

Wired charging is reportedly pegged at 4500 mAh, with wireless charging coming in at 30 W. Other listed specs include a 1/1.28-inch 50 MP main camera with OIS, 3x optical zoom with up to 30x hybrid zoom, and a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Supposedly, the Xiaomi 12 will go on sale on January 1, with a CNY 3,699 (US$580) price tag for the 8/128 GB SKU. The 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB models are said to be priced at CNY 3,999 (US$625) and CNY 4,399 (US$690) respectively. You'd do well to take all of this with a pinch of salt.
