Motorola confirms Android 12 update plan for 30 smartphones
Android Planet has released what it claims is an official Android 12 update plan for Motorola smartphones. Reproduced below, the list contains 30 devices, which includes devices like the Moto G100 and the RAZR 5G. Motorola has not confirmed if this is its final list of devices that will receive Google's latest OS, though.
If it is the company's final list, it would mean that Motorola has dropped support for most of its mid-range smartphones that it released in 2019 and 2020. For example, the Moto G9 series is missing from the list, despite being released last year.
According to Android Planet, Motorola will begin updating devices to Android 12 from February 2022. Unfortunately, Motorola has not outlined when it will finish its Android 12 rollout, or when it will update each device. Presumably, Motorola will make only minor changes from the AOSP version of Android 12, as was the case with the company's Android 10 and Android 11 updates.
