GoPro Hero 10 Black launched with new GP2 chip, 5.3K60FPS video recording, HyperSmooth 4.0, and US$499 MSRP
GoPro has now officially launched its newest product in its highly vaunted action-cam lineup—the GoPro Hero 10 Black. The Hero 10 Black succeeds the Hero 9 Black with several technological upgrades designed to improve performance.
The GoPro Hero 10 Black features GoPro's new GP2 SoC, which promises better performance, more responsive touch controls, and "double the frame rate" for even smoother footage. The Hero 10 Black also debuts GoPro's HyperSmooth 4.0, which is said to improve stabilization, low-light performance, and horizon leveling with a higher tilt limit to keep shots as straight as possible.
The new action-cam offers 23 MP still capture, 5.3K video recording at 60 FPS, and 240 FPS slow-mo recording at 2.7K. 15.8 MP still images can also be grabbed from the original 5.3K videos.
