As per the Smartphone Act, Japan has now officially ordered Apple to end browser engine restrictions on iOS. According to the new Mobile Software Competition Act guidelines, Apple would have to remove them by December 2025.

Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to launch the HyperOS 3 beta program in August 2025. This Android 16 update could land on supported phones that are enrolled in the program by the end of the month.
