Oppo Reno2 full specs get leaked on TENAA

Design-wise, the upcoming Reno2 mid-ranger from Oppo appears to be very similar to its predecessor. The specs, however, got quite a few upgrades. The screen is slightly bigger with a 6.55-inch diagonal and 2,400 x 1,080 resolution and True HDR10 support, while the internals now feature a Snapdragon 730G SoC with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage. The rear camera also got updated with a 48 + 13 + 8 +2 MP setup.

An oversight by Apple caused an old security bug to be reintroduced with iOS 12.4. While the bug had been patched in iOS 12.3, the exploit is present in the latest operating system from Apple and can be used for jailbreaking on compatible devices. On the flip side, the security hole presents new risks; the bug can be used by malicious parties to hack into an iPhone or iPad running 12.4.

Delayed Huawei Mate X primed for Kirin 990 SoC upgrade and P30 camera setup

Initially announced to be a Kirin 980 device, the Mate X, which got delayed once again, is said to be getting an upgrade to the unannounced Kirin 990 SoC. Besides a new ARM Cortex-A77 core cluster, the new SoC will also integrate a 5G modem and will enable 4K@60 fps recording capabilities, and, to take advantage of the increased resolution Huawei is also throwing in a P30 camera setup.

Trade war journal: Japan resumes high-tech chemical exports with South Korea

Japan claims that it never imposed an export ban on South Korea, explaining that export approvals now require a period of 4-5 weeks, or roughly the same period of time that has passed since the escalation of the diplomatic relations between Japan and South Korea. The new shipment is supposed to be sent out in 4 weeks, so Samsung, LG and SK Hynix might experience slight manufacturing schedule delays.

LG has started rolling out a new update to the G6, and it is more than just a new security patch.
