Rumour | Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro: Five cameras, a 5,020 mAh battery and a 60 Hz LCD panel to join a Snapdragon 720G and up to 6 GB of RAM?
We are only two days away from the announcement of the Redmi Note 9 series, with Xiaomi expected to at least launch the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro on Thursday. As we reported last week, Geekbench has essentially confirmed that the latter of the two will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor and 6 GB of RAM. Now, @ishanagarwal24 and @akshayable claim to have received confirmed specifications of the device.
According to the former, Xiaomi will offer the Redmi Note 9 Pro in a choice of Aurora Blue, Glacier White and Interstellar Black. Additionally, there will be two RAM and storage options. Both leakers claim that there will be 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM to choose from, which Xiaomi will pair with 64 GB and 128 GB of storage, respectively.
Additionally, the Redmi Note 9 Pro will feature an LCD panel. The 6.67-inch display will have a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 1080p native resolution. The device is also rumoured to only offer a 60 Hz refresh rate. Both leakers claim that Xiaomi will include a punch-hole for a 16 MP front-facing camera, too.
Complementing the 16 MP front-facing camera will be a Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM2, a 48 MP sensor. The Redmi Note 9 Pro is set to feature three other cameras too, which are supposedly an 8 MP ultra-wide, a 5 MP macro and a 2 MP depth of field.
Underpinning all of the above is a 5,020 mAh battery. The Redmi Note 9 Pro will apparently support 18 W charging, too.
