Pocophone F1 Android 10 update starts rolling out to the wider public
There has been quite a drama in regard to the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 and Android 10. We reported that users in places such as Spain and India had received the update but then everything seemed to stall due to bug problems. A POCO India executive had to take to Twitter to reassure owners of the Poco F1 that work was still being carried out on the rollout.
A few days ago, Xiaomi announced that the Android 10-based MIUI 11 Global Beta Stable v11.0.6.0.QEJMIXM was being made available to Pocophone F1 users who had signed up for either the beta test or were part of the Mi Pilot program. Xiaomi also stated that if this update went well, then a wider rollout would occur within a few days.
Some detective work from PiunikaWeb has discovered that Poco F1 smartphone owners who weren’t beta testers or Mi Pilots have started receiving the Android 10/MIUI 11 update. This would indicate that a wider rollout of Android 10 has commenced and that users of the Pocophone F1 can start expecting to finally receive a much welcome notification that the software update is ready to be downloaded and installed.
