Xiaomi has expanded as an electronics OEM to the point that it can maintain multiple physical retail stores in its native China - in fact, it opened no less than 100 more of them at the end of 2019. However, it appears that this kind of success does not translate to other markets. Its Mi Store in London has reportedly just closed its doors permanently.
The company opened this shop in November 2018; however, it has confirmed that it is now officially closed for good. As with many other similar stores worldwide, it sold flagship phones such as the Mi 9, in addition to accessories such as the OEM's many branded earphones. It also had devices from Redmi and POCO on its shelves.
However, it is now no more. Xiaomi's statement in conjunction with this decision calls it "a reaction to our fast growing business in Western Europe". Nevertheless, UK fans of this OEM can still purchase devices either from its own site or from Amazon.co.uk. They are likely sources of the new Mi 10 flagship series following its international launch on March 27, 2020.
