Xiaomi Mi Max 3 users will soon be enjoying MIUI 11 based on Android 10
We reported quite a while ago about a way of getting the Android 10 version of MIUI 11 on the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, but now it seems the update to Google’s latest operating system for smartphones is officially in progress. The method we described involved taking advantage of the Chinese beta; however, the current update for the Mi Max 3 is the stable version of Android 10.
While Xiaomi Mi Max 3 owners in China can receive the Android 10 update Over the Air (OTA), it should be kept in mind that the software is about 2.2 GB in size. PiunikaWeb has also provided a handy link for users who prefer to just download and install the software package themselves. As the rollout has commenced in China, it is believed that Mi Max 3 fans in other countries will soon be welcoming the Android 10 build of MIUI 11.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 comes with a great display that we praised in our review of the huge smartphone, and with a battery life of well over 21 hours recorded in our Wi-Fi web-surfing test there’s no need to be constantly located near a socket while using the device. MIUI 11 (Android 10 variant) features a number of welcome changes, including system-wide dark mode, some new icons, and settings for opting out of adverts.
