There has been plenty of enthusiasm for AMD’s Renoir APUs but many have been wondering when they will be actually able to get their hands on a Ryzen 4000 laptop. Well it seems that time is coming soon, as there are at least three laptops from Asus that have now been listed on Amazon China that feature a couple of AMD's latest and greatest mobile chips. All three devices come with Ryzen 4000 APUs and either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (regular or Max-Q variant) or GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics processor.
Unsurprisingly, the larger 17.3-inch Asus TUF FA706IU Gaming laptop can offer purchasers the generally more-powerful AMD Ryzen 7 4800H chip, which has a higher default TDP than the Ryzen 7 4800HS variant. However, recent benchmark leaks have shined a very bright light on both Renoir APUs, which have demonstrated powerful performance at expected lower costs compared to their Intel rivals. The TUF FA706IU also comes with a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 1 TB SSD, 16 GB RAM, and a 120 Hz-capable Full HD display. Chinese shoppers interested in this Ryzen 4000 laptop will have to pay RMB 10,359.01 (~US$1,492) to buy it when it becomes available.
As for the two 14-inch ROG Zephyrus G14 laptops, they differ only by the graphics card as both come with the AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS APU, a 120 Hz display, a 512 GB SSD, and 16 GB RAM. The G14 that comes with a GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU costs RMB 9,998.73 (~US$1,440) while the model with the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q can be pre-ordered for RMB 11,602.10 (~US$1,671). According to the Amazon China listings, these three Ryzen 4000 laptops can be ordered in advance and should be available from March 31.
