Asus TUF Gaming A15 with AMD Ryzen 7 4800H and 16 GB of RAM is now shipping for US$999.99

The ASUS TUF Gaming A15 is now shipping and for as little as US$999.99. The Ryzen 7 4800H-powered machine has a 15.6-inch 144 Hz panel, but there is also the 17.3-inch A17 if you would like something larger.

Announced at CES 2020 in January, the A15 and A17 TUF Gaming series are now shipping. Specifically, only Ryzen 7 4800H and GTX 1660 Ti SKUs are in stock at the time of writing. Starting at US$999.99 on Amazon, the A15 is currently shipping with up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. The latter combination will cost US$1,349.99 for reference.

By contrast, the A17 is shipping with 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a 1 TB SSD for US$1,119.99. As we have previously reported, the A15 can be ordered with a GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, but these SKUs are back-ordered for up to five weeks.

The A17 will be available with a GeForce RTX 2060 too. Asus also states that both can be configured with a Ryzen 9 4900H, but Amazon is yet to list these SKUs.

It is worth pointing out that the A17 has a 120 Hz panel, whereas the A15 has a 144 Hz panel. However, Asus describes both as being "IPS-level", whatever that means.
