ASUS to refresh ROG Zephyrus M slim gaming laptops with Intel Comet Lake-H CPUs
The latest Comet Lake-H mobility CPUs from Intel will soon be available for the Asus ROG Zephyrus M GU502 lineup. There is no official announcement as of yet, but a particular Zephyrus M GU50202W-AZ081T model has already been spotted in the Icecat product catalog.
From what we can see in the catalog description, Asus will be keeping the same ultraslim magnesium-aluminium alloy chassis that is 18.9 mm thin and weighs 1.9 kg. The GU50202W-AZ081T model comes with a Core i7-10750H hexa-core / 12-thread CPU coupled with 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM (expandable to 32 GB), and integrates a 1 TB NVMe SSD. The discrete graphics side is covered by an RTX 2070 GPU (possibly the refreshed version launched with the Super lineup).
Other noteworthy features include:
- 15.6-inch slim bezel 1080p IPS display with sRGB color gamut, 240 Hz refresh rate and 3 ms grey-to-grey response time
- Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.1
- ESS Sabre Audio DAC
- Intelligent cooling system with self-cleaning thermal module
- Nvidia Optimus for improved battery life
- Port selection: 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, 1x Thunderbolt 3, GbE jack, HDMI 2.0 output, headphones + mic jacks
The Icecat database does not disclose any pricing info, but we suspect this model will soon be available for US$1,500, which is the price for the current i7-9750H model.
