Several Xiaomi phones are starting to receive Android 10, and the latest to join the bandwagon are the Mi 8 Lite and the Mi Max 3. The Mi 8 series started receiving the update last month with the Chinese variants of the Mi 8 Lite and the Mi Max 3 receiving the stable MIUI 11 version last week. Now, the global version of the Android 10 update is being seeded to owners of these handsets.
The global variant of the Mi 8 Lite is receiving the MIUI 11.0.1.0.QDTMIXM OTA update. This brings stable Android 10 along with security patches updated up to February 2020. While you should be receiving the update within the next few days, you can also flash it manually if you do not wish to wait. The offline installation package for the Mi 8 Lite weighs around 1.8 GB and can be downloaded from this link.
Similarly, the Mi Max 3's Android 10 update is arriving in the form of MIUI 11.0.1.0.QEDMIXM and again, this comes bundled with the February security patches built-in. This update too is about 1.8 GB and if you don't wish to wait, can download it from here.
While these are stable ROMs, Xiaomi is only rolling them out to a limited set of users so they are still marked as Global Beta Stable. Xiaomi may stop or reschedule the release if they appear to pose any issues. However, the chances for such issues are slim and we do expect everyone to be up to date with stable MIUI 11 in the coming weeks.
