Last year, Nokia became linked to a couple of fantasy-franchise-themed code-names for devices that turned out to be of its 6- and 7-series of phones. Now, it is rumored to have done so again, applying the term Captain America to a phone, thought to be of its 5-series this time. NokiaPowerUser (NPU) claims to confirm this in its latest leak on the subject.
However, the blog also asserts that this device is to be called the 5.3 on its launch, and not the 5.2 as may have been expected. The HMD Global brand is purported to apply quad cameras to this phone - however, NPU insists that they are of a distinctly low-mid to entry-level status for 2020's purposes, being of 16+5+8+8MP in resolution.
The new leak also alleges that a 6.55-inch, 18.5:9 display is destined for the upcoming 5.3. As for internal specs, it is now thought to start with 3GB of RAM and to have the Snapdragon 660 or 665 processor. It is also now believed to come in Charcoal, Cyan and another, currently unknown, colorway.
Finally, this upcoming Nokia 5.1 successor may have 4 discrete variants: TA-1223, TA-1227, TA-1229 and TA-1234, one or more of which may denote a dual-SIM nature.
