Nokia released the Nokia 9 PureView a year ago, with word on the grapevine claiming the company was set to launch a refresh after, in the Nokia 9.1. Well, it would seem that the company will skip directly to the Nokia 9.2, and a new concept render has now given a fresh look at the device.
The shown image is courtesy of Ben Geskin and is a concept render, not a leak from any source. It shows the Nokia 9.2 with a quad rear camera setup housed within a circular camera module. At the front of the phone, it's obvious that no selfie camera is present. That's because the selfie sensor is hidden within the display itself. There have been rumors that the Nokia 9.2 will implement an under-display selfie camera.
Vivo recently unveiled the APEX 2020 with an under-display selfie camera but that's just a concept phone. No mainstream production device has displayed that technology yet, and it'd be wishful thinking to expect HMD Global to beat the competition to the punch with the Nokia 9.2.
