The Galaxy A31 may be one of Samsung's next budget smartphones. A device with its probable model number has been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This leak does not confirm any specs, but does at least indicate it may be launched in the US soon.

According to some leaks and rumors, Samsung will update the Galaxy A30 for this year soon. The new model is thought to have a MediaTek Helio P65 SoC and 4GB of RAM. Its existence as the SM-A315F/DS has also been confirmed through a Bluetooth SIG certification.

A further variant of the same phone - the SM-A315G/DSL - has been approved for sale in the US by the FCC. This suggests that this Samsung Galaxy A will be launched in its jurisdiction sooon. However, this kind of leak cannot tell us much besides what kind of connectivity (4G/LTE) this device will support.

Then again, the FCC's testing also reveals that the SM-A315G/DSL will have a total display diagonal length of 160 millimeters (mm, or 6.299 inches). This, combined with its 7.2mm depth, seems to make for a relatively compact phone in 2020.
