The Samsung Exynos 2100 has left quite an impression on the Geekbench. Alongside the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the chipset consistently managed to post single-core scores of ~1,100 and multi-core scores of ~3,600, putting it on par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 has made yet another appearance online. At least one variant is confirmed to feature a 108MP camera sensor, with three sensors in total. It shouldn't be long before we figure out these images' authenticity, as Xiaomi will launch the Mi 11 series on December 28.

More details about the OnePlus 9 5G have leaked, this time concerning its triple rear-facing cameras. Apparently, the device will feature a 50 MP Ultra Vision Camera as its primary sensor, along with 20 MP Cine and 12 MP telephoto cameras. The three cameras would be upgrades on the ones found in the OnePlus 8T.

A report from South Korea claims Samsung will be releasing a ~US$180 5G phone to compete against the influx of affordable Chinese smartphones, particularly in markets such as India, Asia and the South Pacific.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra has been leaked in its entirety, and it is a mixed bag for fans of huge Samsung flagships. The first official benchmark results are in for the Snapdragon 888, and they show a healthy uplift from the performance of the Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 865+. The results are informative, but there are too many variables at play to compare the Snapdragon 888 against one of its main rivals, the Apple A14 Bionic.

Reviewer Random Stuff 2 on Youtube managed to play with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus for more than a month and included his impressions in a short video. He specifies that the reviewed unit is a pre-production device, so some things could differ on the final product, but even so, the phone may be one of the best models of 2021.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max appears to have been largely forgotten about by Xiaomi. The device has now received a second MIUI 12 Stable Beta update, with the first having arrived in September. There is no word on the arrival of a Stable MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max yet, though.

Samsung has finally announced the arrival of the Exynos 2100, and it is just two days before the expected launch of the Galaxy S21 series. The Exynos 2100 is believed to feature eight cores built on a 5 nm process, with an ARM Cortex-X1 core the most powerful of the eight. The Exynos 2100 will go head-to-head with the Snapdragon 888 when the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra arrive next month.

A schematic of the Mi 11 Pro has leaked online. The schematic suggests that Xiaomi has equipped its next flagship smartphone with a 6.76-inch display, which is expected to run natively at a QHD+ resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Mi 11 Pro may arrive before the end of the year and will be one of the first devices with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 888 SoC.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is now receiving a new update in multiple regions. The latest update for the device brings the November security patch to the European and Russian models of the device, with the Android 11 rollout set to follow soon.

Xiaomi has announced the Redmi 9 Power for India. The Chinese company has priced the device at INR 13,999 (~US$190), for which you will receive a smartphone with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display, a 48 MP primary camera and a 6,000 mAh battery, among other features. The Redmi 9 Power will be available with up to 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and in four colours.

Huawei has updated its EMUI 11 upgrade plans in two regions. To date, the OS upgrade has only reached handsets in Asia Pacific and Canada, where the Mate 30 and P40 series have begun the slow march to EMUI 11. Huawei claims that it has upgraded over 10 million devices to EMUI 11 already, though.

Huawei is set to launch its Nova 8 series in the near future and details of the Nova 8 have surfaced. Notable takeaways include a Kirin 985, a quad-camera setup at the back, and a disappointing battery relative to the competition.

The Galaxy A32 is predicted to be Samsung's cheapest 5G phone of 2021. It is also said to have a design rather different from other rumored devices from this OEM. A product that might match its description has been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), suggesting that it will launch in the US at least.

Qualcomm and Google are now collaborating to extend Project Treble support to offer four Android OS versions and four years of security updates starting with devices powered by the Snapdragon 888. With this move, Qualcomm hopes to give users a more predictable software lifecycle and ensure most of them are on the latest OS release. The onus of actually releasing these updates, however, still rests on OEMs.

Samsung's highly-awaited Exynos 1080 SoC has made its first appearance on Geekbench. It manages to outperform the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with a single and multi-core score of 888 and 3,244, respectively. The chipset is expected to make its debut alongside the Vivo X60 series on December 28.
