Samsung is gearing up to launch the entry-level Galaxy A13 5G. The phone has made a stop at Geekbench providing a decent look at the specs of the device. However, there is no mention of a release date or the price.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy A13 5G carrying the model number SM-A136U will have a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. This octa-core SoC packs in 2 high-performance cores clocked at 2.20 GHz and 6 efficiency cores running at 2.0 GHz. Along with this, there is also 4 GB of RAM. For an entry-level 5G smartphone, 4 GB of memory is standard, but if Samsung’s track record is any indication, there will be a 6 GB model with higher storage.
Furthermore, the Geekbench single and multi-core scores of 465 and 1100 indicate that the Galaxy A13 5G is geared more towards regular, non-extensive use. The move to introduce a low-budget 5G phone in 2022 makes sense since Samsung already has a lot of midrange and high-end 5G options, including the excellent Galaxy A52s 5G.
Now, we’ll have to wait and see if Samsung gets the pricing of the Galaxy A13 5G right.
