Samsung starts to roll out the October 2021 security update for Galaxy S21, Note 20, Z Fold 3 and many more Galaxy smartphones
According to multiple reports Samsung has started the roll out of its monthly Android security update for several compatible Galaxy smartphones and tablets. As usual, these kind of security patches do not bring any kind of visible and noticeable changes, but there have been important fixes behind the scenes. Overall the October 2021 update includes 100 security relevant fixes, 68 of which have been issued by Google directly, with the South Korean company contributing another 32.
24 of these security fixes have been labeled as severe, which is why owners of compatible Galaxy devices should install the October update as soon as possible. Samsung fans may already be aware of the fact that the company gradually releases these updates in all geographical regions, which is why this update may already be available in some countries, while users in others will have to wait a few more days. The download of the October 2021 Android security patch for Samsung Galaxy smartphones comes in at approximately 300MB, and it should be available or will be available shortly for the following devices.
