Samsung's Galaxy A52 5G proved popular enough in 2021 for the OEM to release a subsequent variant called the A52s in the same year. Now, it is rumored to release a next generation of the mid-range smartphones, starting with the A53 at least.
The device is expected to switch to in-house silicon in 2022, albeit perhaps a more interesting flavor of Exynos with next-gen GPUs, at least. Now, the leaks blog GalaxyClub.nl asserts that the A53 will have the same main rear camera sensor and display refresh rate specs as its predecessor.
Then again, they were pretty good at 64MP and 120Hz respectively. GalaxyClub also claims to have heard that the only Samsung Galaxy A53 to launch will be a 5G version, meaning that the A52 4G might be discontinued in 2022.
The lone A53 is also slated to mostly reprise A52-series finishes, debuting in white, black or light blue: very much those of 2021. However, it is also now touted to acquire a new colorway: orange. This prediction might be plausible in the face of the new Pixel 6 series and its Sorta Sunny style.
