It has been over a year since Mobvoi launched the TicWatch Pro 3, the first smartwatch with a Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC. Since then, the company has released the TicWatch E3 globally and the TicWatch Pro X in China, both with the same chipset as the TicWatch Pro 3.
Now, the company has begun teasing the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS ahead of an October 13 launch event. So far, Mobvoi has not revealed much, although a teaser image does not do a good job of hiding the smartwatch's design. In our opinion, the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS looks an awful lot like the TicWatch Pro X; Mobvoi may have even re-used the latter's marketing render.
Based on several leaks, the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS will be a minor revision on last year's model. As far as we can tell, the Ultra has a tweaked design and new heart-monitoring features, along with MIL-STD-810G certification. Mobvoi will return to the Snapdragon Wear 4100 again, albeit probably because Qualcomm has yet to announce a successor.
Currently, it is unclear if Mobvoi plans to release a TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra LTE. Typically, the company would launch an accompanying LTE model, but its teaser only refers to a GPS edition. Presumably, Mobvoi will reveal more about the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra between now and next Wednesday.
