Gigabyte presents the inflatable AORUS gaming chair in a menacing black design
Specialized furniture for gamers appears to be all the rage. Just recently we reported on the now globally available assortment of gaming furniture at the Swedish furniture store IKEA, which was developed in collaboration with the ROG (Republic of Gamers) division at ASUS. The Taiwanese hardware manufacturer Gigabyte also expands its furniture business and has now announced a new and quite peculiar gaming chair.
On its official German Twitter account, Gigabyte has today revealed several pictures of an inflatable AORUS chair. The chair comes in a glossy black color and also features some futurist but also mythical white inscriptions. The company has not revealed any additional specifications of the piece of gaming furniture, but other publications have already humorously commented that Darth Vader might be interested in putting such an AORUS gaming chair in his meditation chamber.
The unique choice of material also has its advantages, since eventual spills can be easily cleaned up and wiped off of the smooth surface of the AORUS gaming chair. However, the inflatable seat may not be one of the most convenient kinds of gaming chair available, and it will certainly fall short of the comfort of Gigabytes's more sophisticated AGC300 and AGC310. It remains unclear if the inflatable AORUS gaming chair is a legitimate product that will be available for purchase anytime soon, but it would certainly look quite dashing in combination with a Gigabyte gaming notebook like the AORUS 15G Gaming laptop (from US$2,399 on Amazon).
