Gigabyte AORUS Model S: New version of small form factor gaming PC launches with an Intel Core i7-12700K and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
Gigabyte has refreshed the AORUS Model S, a compact gaming PC that continues to measure 190 x 189 x 400 mm. Accordingly, the 14 litre machine classes as a small form factor (SFF) PC. For reference, the AORUS Model S is 2 litres larger than something like the LOUQE Raw S1, which houses full-sized graphics cards. While Gigabyte has included the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 with AMD Ryzen versions of the AORUS Model S, Intel-powered versions still remain restricted to the less powerful GeForce RTX 3070.
According to Gigabyte, the new AORUS Model S relies on the Core i7-12700K, plus an Intel Z690 Express chipset, 32 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM and a 2 TB M.2 SSD (PCIe 4.0). Moreover, Gigabyte includes a 750 W 80 Plus (Gold) power supply, which also powers numerous ports, including single DisplayPort and HDMI ports found on the device's motherboard. Additionally, the RTX 3070 itself contains dual DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1 ports, unlike NVIDIA's Founders Edition model.
Elsewhere, the new AORUS Model S has seven USB Type-A ports of various standards, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, a 2.5 Gbit (RJ45) connection and two 3.5 mm jacks for dedicated microphone and headphone inputs. Furthermore, Gigabyte includes an Intel-branded modem that supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. Unfortunately, Gigabyte has not confirmed how much the new AORUS Model S costs yet.
