A Core i7 12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU ensure that all current games can be played smoothly on a 17.3-inch screen (FHD, 360 Hz). The notebook offers room for two PCIe-4 SSDs and features a Thunderbolt-4 port.

The combination of Core-i7-12700H CPU, GeForce RTX-3070-Ti laptop GPU and 16 GB of RAM (DDR4-3200, dual-channel mode) equips the computer for all the usual application areas - video editing, image processing, gaming. A lightning fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) provides the necessary storage space and ensures short loading times. The notebook has room for a second PCIe-4-SSD.

The hardware ensures that all current games run smoothly on the screen. The full screen resolution (1,920x1,080 pixels) and maximum quality settings can usually be selected. Higher resolutions are also feasbile when connecting a corresponding display - up to three additional screens can be plugged in (1x HDMI 2.1, 1x Mini Displayport 1.4, 1x Displayport via USB-C).

The matte 17.3-inch screen (FHD, IPS, 360 Hz) of Gigabyte's computer offers stable viewing angles, good contrast, a matte surface, quick refresh rates and decent color reproduction. The brightness, however, is too low. The whole laptop is housed in a matte-black plastic case with smooth surfaces.

Despite a 99 Wh battery, the computer only delivers average battery runtimes. Another downside: The battery cannot be charged via the USB-C slot (Thunderbolt 4). But the port does offer other options such as connecting an external GPU or a comprehensive docking solution.

More information and benchmark results are available in the review of Aorus 17 XE4.
