The RedMagic 6S Pro is the new performance champion in AnTuTu for just €599
AnTuTu has updated its benchmark leaderboards for September, demoting the Black Shark 4 Pro in the process. In its place stands the RedMagic 6S Pro, which the company unveiled last month. The Black Shark 4 Pro had held off competition from the Vivo X70 Pro+ and the iQOO 8 Pro, which both feature the nominally more powerful Snapdragon 888 Plus. Likewise, the Xiaomi Mix 4 could only muster tenth place with the same chipset.
We suspect that the RedMagic 6S Pro has succeeded where other smartphones have failed, in part, because of its active cooling. According to RedMagic, the small fan spins at up to 20,000 RPM and exhausts waste heat out the vent running along the device's frame. Incidentally, the company also sells the 'Dual-Core Ice Dock', an accessory that contains dual 7-blade fans for added cooling.
The RedMagic 6S Pro starts at €599, an impressively low price given the performance on offer. The device also has a 165 Hz display, a 5,050 mAh battery and at least 12 GB of RAM. Presumably, the RedMagic 6S Pro will remain performance champion until Snapdragon 898-powered devices appear, such as Redmi K50 series handsets.
