AnTuTu has published its latest smartphone performance rankings in a blog post, detailing the fastest smartphones that completed benchmark runs in January. This list does not match the website's global ranking, but AnTuTu is yet to add many of the former's newer devices to the latter. The new list has knocked the Mi 11 from the top spot though, just a month after it debuted there. Instead, Xiaomi's latest flagship must play second fiddle to the iQOO 7.
According to AnTuTu, the iQOO 7 outscored the Mi 11 by 3.2%, which only outperform the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ by 0.4% itself. Specifically, the iQOO 7 scored 728,784 points, a fine score compared to last year's iQOO 5 with a Snapdragon 865. Presumably, the built-in RAM and flash storage of the iQOO 7 give it the edge over the Mi 11 as the Snapdragon 888 powers both of them.
Oddly, AnTuTu has marked the Mi 11 down by approximately 3,000 points since last month. However, this may be because AnTuTu's monthly charts represent the average benchmark results carried out in that month, rather than cumulatively since the device's first benchmark result.
Meanwhile, the Kirin 9000 and the Mate 40 series retain third and fourth place in a top ten otherwise dominated by Qualcomm. All devices below the Mate 40 series have a Snapdragon 865, underlining how dominant Qualcomm are over their contemporaries, excluding Apple of course. We would expect to see the Exynos 2100 arrive next month in the Galaxy S21 series though, so it will be interesting to see how Samsung's new chipset fares against the Snapdragon 888.
