Vivo is continuing its recent great work in the flagship space with the release of a true flagship phone, the Vivo X70 Pro+. The X70 Pro+ sits at the top of the Vivo pecking order and does so confidently, courtesy of impressive, innovative hardware.
The Vivo X70 Pro+ sports a big, premium 6.78-inch 2K 120 Hz AMOLED. This display is a Samsung E5 one—as seen on the iQOO 8 Pro—and will likely also find its way to next year's Galaxy S22 series. There is, of course, LTPO technology and 10bit support available. Brightness maxes out at a claimed 1500 nits.
Under the hood is a Snapdragon 888+, Qualcomm's latest and greatest, with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage ensuring class-leading performance. At its rear is a 50 MP GN1, a 48 MP IMX598 ultra-wide-angle lens, a 12 MP IMX663, and an 8 MP 5x periscope lens. All four cameras have OIS. At the front of the X70 Pro+ is a 32 MP shooter.
The X70 Pro+ also features Vivo's V1 in-house ISP for supposedly even better camera chops. 5-axis gimbal stabilization is also available and should be an improvement on the X60 Pro+'s already impressive. implementation. A 4500 mAh battery provides stamina, with 55 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging to keep charge times down. Also present is IP68 certification and NFC support. The Vivo X70 Pro+ runs on Vivo's Android 11-based Origin OS.
Pricing is as follows:
- Vivo X70 Pro+ 8/256 GB: CNY 5,499 (US$850)
- Vivo X70 Pro+ 12/256 GB CNY 5,999 (US$930)
- Vivo X70 Pro+ 12/256 GB CNY 6,999 (US$1085)
