Vivo launches the Vivo X70 and X70 Pro with powerful chipsets and solid cameras starting at the equivalent of US$575
Vivo has now launched its new set of premium devices in China. The Vivo X70 series plays host to three devices, the X70, X70 Pro, and X70 Pro+. While the Vivo X70 Pro+ may be the star of the show, the regular X70 and X70 Pro are cheaper and will serve just fine for fans not looking for the best offering in the lineup.
The Vivo X70 sports a 6.56-inch FHD+ 120 Hz AMOLED. Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 1200, with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Camera-wise, it features the 50 MP IMX766V as its main shooter, aided by two 12 MP cameras. At the front is a 32 MP selfie camera. Supplying power is a 4400 mAh battery with 44 W fast charging.
The Vivo X70 Pro offers a 6.56-inch FHD+ 120hz AMOLED. It's powered by an Exynos 1080, aided by up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The rear camera setup is identical to that of vanilla X70: a 50MP IMX766V, a 12 MP IMX663, and a 12MP ultra-wide shooter. An 8MP OVO8A periscope lens is welcome addition. Also present is a 32 MP selfie camera. Battery sees a slight increase to 4450 mAh, while charging remains capped at 44 W.
Both phones offer NFC support and run on Vivo's Android 11-based Origin OS.
