Rumor | A Vivo X80-series phone will debut with a 50MP main camera and the Dimensity 2000 processor
The smartphone OEM Vivo is currently rumored to have a Snapdragon 898-powered flagship of the NEX series in the works. However, according to the latest tip from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the company's next tier down is also shaping up to be exciting enough in its own right.
This new tip consists of a list of smartphone specs that point to a device with a 120Hz FHD+ display driven by the rumored MediaTek Dimensity 2000. It is thought to be a Vivo X70 successor as the list goes on to include the 5-axis VIS stabilization debuted in that 2021 line of phones.
Digital Chat Station also asserts this feature might apply to a 50MP sensor that, while perhaps not the largest on offer in the world, will be generously sized enough at 1/1.3 inches. This putative main sensor might be joined by a portrait lens (another Vivo X hallmark) of 12MP in resolution with added 2x zoom.
Finally, the leaker has unearthed a different new Vivo phone, the V2102A, on the 3C certification database. This is painted as a relatively affordable prospect from the OEM, as this "Y71t" has a maximum 44W charging speed whereas that of the existing X70s is 55W. There is no word on when this device will launch as yet.
