The Vivo "X80 Pro" is effectively painted as an impending Dimensity 9000-powered version of the X Note that has only just launched in China. Despite this, however, it is also depicted as more of a camera-forward device rather than a contender in terms of performance. These rumors may be underpinned by one of the phone's latest leaks.
It consists of an image apparently showing 3 in-testing smartphone units set up to take photos in a pitch black room. Regardless of this environment, the devices - surrounded by super-imposed text containing Chinese-language characters associated with the term "Dimensity 9000" (天玑9000, or 'Tianji 9000') - are depicted as capable of 'seeing' their subjects (some furniture including a bean-bag, in this case) in full color and an impressive amount of detail.
This, according to the respected tipster Digital Chat Station (also responsible for this new and apparently X80 Pro-hyping leak) is possible thanks to a combination of the latest in Vivo ISP technology and an all-new image sensor.
Meanwhile, the X80 Pro might also have leaked from the other side as of late. An alleged real-life shot of the allegedly upcoming phone from the back might corroborate an earlier render also purporting to reveal its rear camera configuration.
This image, as before, depicts the phone's camera hump as very similar to that of the X Note, except that one of that device's 4 rear shooters is replaced by a large Zeiss logo. The X80-series flagship may still have quad rear cameras, though: the fourth is shunted off below the module's main circular feature. It is square and, therefore, most likely a zoom lens.
Finally, this new in-the-wild leak suggests that the X80 Pro will be finished in leather or a leather-like material, and will come in black as opposed to the green of its previous leak.
