The Android OEM Vivo has applied to trademark what is most likely the name for its first ever tablet with the European Union's intellectual property office (EUIPO). This may indicate that the device will be launched soon, probably in the same market. It is rumored to have a battery of about 8,000mAh in capacity.

Vivo is an OEM largely associated with phones, although it has broken into additional markets such as smartwatches as of late. It had also been thought that it would have launched its first tablet by now, having been rumored to do so alongside its flagship X60 series; however, that never transpired.

Now, however, there is evidence that this new device is back on. The name "vivo Pad" has been submitted as a trademark by the OEM to the EUIPO. As the company's fellow BBK Electronics subsidiary Realme is also slated to debut a "Pad" of its own, it does indeed most likely have a slate form-factor.

Then again, this new putative Vivo Pad has not appeared in many other leaks to date. It may have surfaced on the TUV Rheinland database with a 8,040mAh battery. However, whether it will turn out as a rival for either the iPad Pro or, say, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, remains to be seen.
