Vivo X70 Pro+ leak claims Snapdragon 888, 66 W fast charging, and more
Not long ago, Vivo released its X60 series and is currently focusing on a global rollout of that smartphone family. However, the company already seems to be looking ahead to the future. According to a new leak on Chinese social media site Weibo, Vivo’s upcoming X70 Pro+ will pack some of the latest and greatest tech in the mobile world ahead of its rumored June launch.
The X70 Pro+ essentially looks like a minor upgrade over the X60 Pro+. The leak claims that the new X70 Pro+ will have the same Snapdragon 888 SoC as its predecessor, a slightly larger 4500 mAh battery (the X60 Pro+ has a 4200 mAh battery) with 66 Watt fast charging, and a Samsung E4 AMOLED display, like with a 120 Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.
Despite these similarities, the X70 Pro+ may offer some improvements over the X60 Pro+. Namely, the camera in the X70 Pro+ will have a 1/1.28-inch sensor compared to the 1/1.31-inch sensor in the X60 Pro+. Vivo will continue to partner with Zeiss optics for their phones’ cameras.
Keep in mind that these specs are currently rumors, as is the speculated launch window of June 2021. We will have to wait until Vivo officially announces the X70 line to see what it will actually bring to the table.
