Samsung has debuted the Galaxy A22 5G in the Dutch market, starting at €249 (~US$303) for a 4GB/128GB SKU. It has arrived alongside what is called its 4G/LTE variant, although the two phones have considerably different specs, starting with their displays. The A22 5G's is larger, although it has a 60Hz refresh rate compared to 90Hz in its 4G/LTE counterpart.

A Twitter-based leaker claims that Samsung has a new, AirPower-like wireless charger in the works. This pad is apparently thinner than its closest pre-existing counterpart, thanks to slimmer coil and thermal-management technology. The putative accessory is touted to power compatible devices at up to 25W.

Recent leaks have pointed to a mysterious Motorola phone with the code-name of Denver, rumored to have a stylus and a new affordable-grade Qualcomm processor. Today (May 31, 2021) is the last day on which LG's production lines for smartphones and tablets will be open. Realme has announced when it plans to launch the X7 Max 5G, its next mid-range smartphone. The X7 Max 5G has a Dimensity 1200 SoC, a 120 Hz display, 50 W charging and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, among other features.

Xiaomi has rolled out the latest security patch to the Mi A2, one of four Android One smartphones that the company released. This month's update could be of the Mi A2's last though, as the device comes to the end of its allotted software support.
