Xiaomi Mi A3 updated to the February 2022 security patch globally
Xiaomi has released V12.0.20.0.RFQMIXM to the Mi A3, an update the company intends people to install on global devices. For context, Xiaomi also distributes updates to the Mi A3 on MIUI's European branch, most recently with V12.0.16.0.RFQEUXM. Based on Xiaomi's other Android One smartphones, the Mi A3 should receive security patch updates until at least July 2022.
As always, this month's update optimises 'system performance' while improving 'system security and stability'. Accordingly, the over-the-air (OTA) update is just over a 13 MB download. According to Xiaomi, it has updated the Mi A3 to the February 2022 security patch, just a few days before Google distributes its March patches.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi does not publish what changes these security patch updates make to the Mi A3. However, Google outlines all the CVEs it addresses in its corresponding Android Security Bulletin. V12.0.20.0.RFQMIXM is rolling out now to the Mi A3 as an OTA download. Alternatively, you can download the OTA zip file via the link below and install it manually.
